After all-hours clubs comes Australia’s first 24-hour PT service
Recent years have seen a huge increase in the number of 24-hour fitness facilities – both specifically designed new clubs, and traditional models that have converted to become ‘open all hours’.
This model clearly has appeal for both time-poor members and those who work and live irregular hours. While this is great for self-led fitness, what about personalised exercise, i.e. personal training?
Enter MetroPro, which touts itself as being Australia’s first 24/7 premium mobile personal training service, providing clients within a 20k radius of Melbourne CBD with the supervision, nutritional support and mindset coaching they require in order to achieve real results, anytime and anywhere.
MetroPro founder, Melbourne-based Christopher Gregoriou, points to the way in which technology has enabled smaller fitness operations to offer services they would previously have been unable to: ‘With the evolution of technology, in particular the cloud, trainers now have very powerful client management, booking, invoicing and tracking services available. For less than $50 per month, advanced online scheduling systems, such as MINDBODY, are available to streamline client services, allowing smaller operators to compete with bigger chains and provide 24-hour, 7-day fitness support. Effective scheduling and tracking software is paramount to managing client expectations and business staffing requirements.’
