How can one weekend affect your PT career?
In 2013, for the first time, Australian Fitness Network is proud to deliver the West Australian Fitness Industry Convention, more affectionately known as WAFIC. Building on the strong foundation set by the YMCA of WA over the past five years, the 2013 program features an abundance of opportunities to expand your personal training skillset and make a real difference to the success of your career.
In addition to giving you the tools to help your clients reach their full potential, however, WAFIC 2013, held from 4-6 October in Perth, has the potential to reignite your passion for learning and reaffirm your commitment to health and fitness.
The 2-day program (accredited for 10 CECs with Fitness Australia) features over 60 cutting-edge topics delivered by an exceptional team of presenters, whose areas of specialty range from Small Group Training, Nutrition and Marketing and Retention, to Group Fitness, Older Adults, Functional Training and more. Here’s a taster of just some of the sessions on the program:
Paleo diets – The pros and conswith Joanna McMillan
Paleo diets have become popular in the fitness industry, but are they a good idea? In this session Joanna takes a look at what exactly a paleo diet is; the difference between ancient diets and a typical modern diet and whether this could provide a blueprint for how we should eat today; and the pros and cons of adopting this approach for yourself and with clients.
Turbo Tabata with Greg Sellar & Michael Steel
Learn how to create a high energy, male-friendly group exercise experience. Greg and Michael teach you how to take simple-to-learn athletic bodyweight exercises and repeat them in high intensity interval training bursts to get into a serious fat-burning zone.
