Technogym recently signed an exclusive-supplier contract to supply fitness equipment for all athletic preparation centres for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

It will be the sixth Olympic experience for the fitness equipment brand after Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Turin 2006, Beijing 2008 and London 2012. In Rio, Technogym will provide a full range of equipment for the main training centre (approximately 2000 sqmt) at the Olympic Village in Barra da Tijuca open to all athletes taking part in the Games, and will equip 15 centres and warm up areas specifically designed for the different disciplines at the competitions venues.

Closer to home, as part of its ‘Let’s Move For a Better World’ initiative, Technogym recently presented $50,000 worth of its Easy Line equipment, educational seminars and training sessions to St Helena Secondary College in Eltham, Victoria.

During an award ceremony, Technogym Australia, WaterMarc and Belgravia Leisure presented the equipment to students, teachers, principal Karen Terry and Eltham’s local community and press.

Explaining the Let’s Move for a Better World campaign, president and founder of Technogym, Nerio Alessandri, says ‘The campaign is helping to build a more sustainable society and educational platform for the younger generation on the importance of health and wellness’.
