This November school children around Australia are being encouraged to bring a healthy, rubbish-free lunch to school and by doing so, win a share in over $5000 worth of prizes.
In the past Nude Food Day has been celebrated on a specific date, however this year (after listening to schools feedback), the event will run across any day in November (or all of the days in November if you wish!)
So how does it work? Some schools run waste audits for each classroom and award prizes for the least amount of litter generated, while others run healthy cooking demonstrations or healthiest lunch competitions. There are no hard and fast rules; it’s all about teaching kids how their actions can directly impact their health and environment.
