Gary, is hard working, comes in to our house with high energy, but also brings the right amount of humour and fun to the session. Both my wife and I are down 8kg since starting. Would highly recommend Gary!

Armstrong is an excellent trainer, very professional and a lovely guy. The sessions are focused and results driven. His method has helped me feel fitter and stronger after the long Melbourne lockdowns! Highly recommend!

          Senior Manager

I was exercising regularly before starting the 6 week program but still lost 6.5kgs. Armstrong was very knowledgeable and attentive, creating a personalised program to suit my goals. The dietary recommendations were easy to follow and adhere too. Very satisfied with the investment.

How Much Should You Spend on a Personal Trainer?

Popular trainers have a higher hourly rate because they have less availability. And they’re popular for a reason. Clients see that they provide more value to their lives than other trainers. They provide value by bringing:

          • Motivation
          • Humour
          • Fun
          • Experience
          • Focus
          • Technique
          • Planning
          • Good communication skills

And clients will of course value different things. But when trainers bring a combination of the list above, the sessions are great. They smile, make you feel important, and it’s a powerful experience. To turn exercise into something you would like to do is an amazing feat. It’s such an accomplishment to enjoy going to the gym. And a great trainer can do that for you. Good trainers watch you exercise. Great trainers create an experience. And teach you how to do it on your own for a lifetime.

How Many Times a Week Should You See a Personal Trainer?

About 80% of our clients train twice per week. If clients were to train once per week, its more of a maintainance plan. But if clients were to choose once per week, we recommend training on their own three times per week. Some clients come to us asking for 3,4, or even sometimes 5 times per week. Those clients usually know what they want already and see the value in personal training. And if you were to train twice per week with us, it’s highly likely that after 2 weeks of training your motivation would increase. Healthy habits would begin to be formed. And at that stage, you’ll feel like exercising. You’ll know exactly what you need to do. And you’ll be at the stage of training twice with our trainers, and twice on your own. And that’s how you can see amazing progress each and every week. For weight loss, you can expect 0.5kg – 1kg of body fat lost per week.

The Average Hourly Rate in Melbourne, Australia

The average hourly rate is $100 in Melbourne. But take into consideration that most sessions are 45 minutes. Which means the average session price is $80 in Melbourne. It’s rare that trainers advertise deals or discounts. And some will require a purchase of 10 sessions upfront. We offer body one off sessions, a free intro session, and a package deal with a custom training plan. And daily accountability on our app.
