Why Clients Choose a Private Gym Over a Crowded Floor

A private gym means no waiting for equipment and no audience if you're new to lifting.

You can ask questions freely and train at your own pace, so the time goes into the training rather than the logistics.

Programs

Strength and Conditioning Programs Built Around Your Goals

Every program we write starts with what you want your body to do. Our strength and conditioning coaching suits beginners and experienced lifters, and the program changes as your physical fitness and performance change. Think of us as The Central Coast's Most Experienced Strength & Conditioning Gym for people who want a plan rather than a guess.

Strength Training to Build Muscle and Confidence

Strength training is the base for most goals. We use resistance training to build muscle and functional training to carry that strength into daily life, like lifting groceries, picking up kids or getting up off the floor with ease.

Most people notice their confidence in the gym lift well before the mirror changes.

Weight Loss and Body Composition

Weight loss and body composition are related but not the same thing. Losing weight can mean losing muscle, so we pair lifting with aerobic exercise and, once you're ready, high-intensity interval training. The aim is to lose fat and keep the muscle that holds your shape.

Boot Camp, CrossFit or One-to-One: How They Differ

Boot camp and CrossFit class formats suit people who like the energy of a group, and many gyms run them at set times with one coach watching a full room.

One-to-one coaching gives you individual attention instead, so your technique, pace and goal stay in focus for the whole session.

  • AttentionYour coach watches every rep
  • PaceSet by you, not the room
  • GoalEvery session built around it

What Your Program Can Include

Each plan is built from the pieces that fit your goal, schedule and starting point. Depending on what you need, a personal trainer on the Central Coast can combine any of these:

  • Personal training on the Central Coast in a private studio, with equipment ready and no waiting for racks
  • Outdoor sessions at the beach, using sand, stairs and open space
  • Mobile sessions at your home or local park in Gosford, Erina, Terrigal or Woy Woy
  • Progressive resistance training with weights, bands and bodyweight
  • Mobility and warm-up work to keep joints moving well
  • Aerobic conditioning to build stamina for work and family life
  • High-intensity intervals once your base is ready
  • Regular technique checks and program updates as you improve

Male and Female Personal Trainers for Every Stage of Life

We offer male and female personal trainers, so you can train with whoever you feel most comfortable around. Our clients range from busy parents to competitive players, and the one thing they share is a goal that needs a proper plan.

Dylan, personal trainer Central Coast

Dylan

Central Coast · NSW

Dylan coaches strength, muscle and conditioning, from first-time lifters to weekend athletes. Expect clear technique coaching, steady progression and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Kaylee, personal trainer Central Coast

Kaylee

Central Coast · NSW

Kaylee coaches one-on-one sessions built around your goals, whether that is weight loss, strength or getting back to exercise after a baby. A great fit if you'd prefer a female trainer.

Women's Health and Mum-Friendly Training

Every woman arrives with a different history, whether that's pregnancy, returning after a baby or managing hormonal changes. As a mum, you can book around school hours, and a female trainer is available on request.

We build strength and energy at a pace that suits your health.

Sport and Athlete Performance

If you're an athlete or play weekend sport, we focus on strength, speed and durability for your game. Pre-season blocks and in-season maintenance look quite different, so we plan them separately.

Small groups can work for teammates who want to train together.

Training Around Injury and Pain

We run rehabilitation training alongside your physio or GP, with exercises matched to what your body can handle now. Steady loading supports recovery and rebuilds confidence in movement.

We also support chronic disease management, and you can ask your GP whether Medicare-subsidised allied health options apply to you.

Where you train

Where You Can Train: Studio, Beach or Your Place

You choose the setting, and Australian Fitness Network brings the same program to each one. Our approach to strength and conditioning stays consistent whether you're indoors, outdoors or at home.

Private Studio Sessions Around Gosford

Our private studio keeps sessions quiet and one-to-one, unlike busy gyms. It suits clients from Gosford, East Gosford, West Gosford and North Gosford, with an easy drive in and out.

Beach and Outdoor Workouts

For beach and outdoor sessions, we use the sand, stairs and open grass around Terrigal. Sand running and bodyweight circuits add variety, and we move indoors when the weather turns.

Mobile Personal Trainers Who Come to You

Our mobile personal trainers come to your home, garage or local park in Erina, Woy Woy and Wyong. We bring portable equipment, so you can skip the commute entirely. After strength training in Kanwal? Ask us about availability in your area.

Getting started

How Your First Sessions Work

We start by understanding you before we load a single weight, and your first sessions follow a clear order, so you always know what's next.

Pre-Exercise Screening and Postural Assessment

We begin with pre-exercise screening, a short questionnaire covering your health history, injuries and medications. Then comes a postural assessment, where we look at how you stand, squat and reach, so we can spot tight areas and movement habits that affect your training.

  1. 1
    ScreenHealth history, injuries and medications.
  2. 2
AssessHow you stand, squat and reach.
  3. 3
GoalStrength, weight loss or getting back to sport.
  4. 4
    ReviewProgress checked every few weeks.

Setting Goals and Reviewing Progress

Next we agree on your goal, whether that's strength, weight loss or getting back to sport. We turn it into a written program with a realistic timeline.

Each session builds on the last, and we review your progress every few weeks, adjusting the plan when your body or your schedule changes.

Between sessions

Nutrition, Sleep and Daily Steps: Where Results Quietly Slip

Most people attend sessions reliably, yet food tracking is where weight-loss progress tends to stall. It usually shows on social days, when eating runs over and the log goes quiet.

Making Food Logging Easy to Restart

We don't ask for a perfect food diary. We ask you to log one meal a day, then check in and look at that day together.

Small and repeatable beats ambitious and abandoned, and your nutrition improves once the habit is back.

Why Sleep and Steps Matter Between Sessions

Poor sleep and low daily steps both hold back recovery and appetite control, so we keep them in view at every check-in.

Simple Habits We Track With You

We keep the list short so it stays doable:

  • One logged meal a day, then more once it feels easy
  • A daily step count that you raise gradually
  • A regular bedtime to protect recovery
  • A protein source at breakfast

Qualified coaches

Qualifications, Insurance and How to Book

What Qualifications Should a Trainer Hold?

A trainer should hold a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, completed through a recognised course such as those run by the Australian Institute of Fitness. Our trainers build on that base with ongoing study, and we welcome questions about it. Registration with Exercise & Sports Science Australia is a further sign of professional standards.

Insurance and First Aid

Every trainer here keeps a current first aid certificate. We also carry public liability insurance, so you're covered whether you train in the studio, outdoors or at home. That matters when you're working on your fitness around an injury or after a long break from exercise.

Book Your First Session

Send us an enquiry with your goal and preferred location, and we'll reply with times for your first session. Claim your free session below and we'll take it from there.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much should you pay for a personal trainer?

Pay for qualifications, program quality and session length rather than the lowest number on offer. With us, a 45-minute session is $100, with a program built around your goals.

Is $300 a month a lot for a personal trainer?

No, $300 a month is a reasonable budget for a lighter schedule. It covers three 45-minute sessions at $100 each, and training more often simply means booking more sessions.

How much on average does a personal trainer charge?

We charge $100 per 45-minute session. Rates vary by trainer and location, so there is no single average, but our price covers the full session, including coaching, program guidance and adjustments to suit your goals.

What happens in your first session with a personal trainer?

We learn your goals, check how you move and start training straight away. We talk through past injuries and your weekly schedule, assess movement, posture and starting strength, choose your location and agree a plan for the next few weeks. You don't need to be fit before you arrive.

Can I choose a female personal trainer on the Central Coast?

Yes. Kaylee coaches on the Central Coast alongside Dylan, so you can train with whoever you feel most comfortable around. Just tell us your preference when you enquire.
