WAFIC 2013: Western Australian fitness convention

The Western Australian Fitness Industry Convention, known as WAFIC, brought fitness education to Perth. University records provide a verifiable starting point for readers following links to the 2013 event.

What the records establish

The University of the Sunshine Coast’s research repository records WAFIC 2013 in Perth from 4 to 6 October 2013 and identifies Australian Fitness Network as publisher of the listed conference presentations.

Two records attributed to Mark McKean are So you want to work with athletes? and Monitoring and Management of Recovery. Their abstracts concern working relationships and structured programmes for athletes, and approaches to recovery training, respectively.

How to use an archived conference record

A catalogue record can support a presentation title, author, event and date. It is not equivalent to the full presentation, and an abstract should not be expanded into detailed training advice that the source does not supply.
