How sessions work

How We Plan Your Training Program

Every personal training session in Abbotsford runs for 45 minutes. Your program starts with a conversation and a movement check, not a template.

  1. 1

    Chat

Your goal, training history, injuries and the days you can train.

  2. 2

    Screen

How you squat, hinge, push, pull and balance.

  3. 3

    Plan

A program matched to your goal and the days you can train.

  4. 4

    Adjust

Changes to the plan as your strength and fitness improve.

Your first session

We talk through your goals, your week, your health history, any injuries or medications and any advice from your GP or physio. Then we take you through a short, manageable workout, so you leave confident rather than sore. Your first session is free.

A routine you can keep

We build each week around the days you can train, mixing functional training such as squats, carries and step-ups with mobility work for your hips, spine and shoulders. Short blocks of high-intensity interval training come in once your base is solid.

A structured start

If you’d like more structure, the 6-Week Lean Body Reset is $1,399 and combines coaching with nutrition targets and check-ins. If a week goes badly, we dial back and keep you moving.

Our 6-week program

The 6-Week Lean Body Reset

The 6-Week Lean Body Reset is a $1,399 program built on simple habits.

It includes two training sessions a week with your trainer, the coaching app, nutrition tracking and a set of guides. Your result comes down to how consistently you follow it.

What results can you realistically expect?

Hit 80% of the checklist and you’ll be happy with your result. Fat loss comes from doing the basics week after week, and most people find their energy and training improve too. Tell us your goal early so we can coach you towards it.

What gets in the way?

Work deadlines, school pick-ups and poor sleep are what usually knock people off track. Lock three to four workouts into your calendar before the week starts and they’re much harder to skip.

The weekly checklist

Every client follows the same plan each week:

  • Walk 10,000 steps a day.
  • Log your food in the app, hit your protein target and stay under your calories.
  • Weigh in on Sunday morning and fill in your check-in form.
  • Read all the guides in your first week.
  • Train at least 4 times a week: your 2 sessions with your trainer plus 2 on your own.

How we train

Strength, Weight Loss and Conditioning Programs

Most programs we write are built on strength, because it supports almost every goal.

One-on-one strength and resistance training

Strength training helps you build muscle and protect your joints, and we coach each exercise until your technique holds up under load. It also makes carrying the shopping, lifting the kids and climbing stairs easier.

A nutrition and weight loss program you can stick to

If you want to lose weight, we focus on building muscle while body fat comes down. Our weight loss program pairs your sessions with simple nutrition targets, so you’ll notice the change in your energy and your lifts, not just on the scales. Steady loss is gradual, and the scales can stall for a week or two while your body is still changing.

Conditioning and mobility

With progressive overload, we add weight, repetitions or control in small, planned steps, so the next step is always manageable. Mobility work sits at the start and end of sessions to improve your range around the hips, spine and shoulders.

Strength training

Coached technique, loaded in small steps.

Weight loss

Training plus simple nutrition targets you can keep.

Mobility

Hips, spine and shoulders that move freely.

HIIT

Short, hard intervals once your base is ready.

Female & NDIS training

Female Personal Training and NDIS-Supported Sessions

Our sessions suit anyone who wants a coach who listens first. We adjust every program to your health, training history and comfort level, and you progress at your own pace.

Women’s health and strength

We offer postnatal and perimenopause-aware training, adjusting loads and pacing to suit your body at each stage. If you’re postnatal or managing a health condition, follow your GP’s advice before you start. Female trainers are available on request.

NDIS personal trainers in Abbotsford

We coach National Disability Insurance Scheme participants. Each session is adapted to your ability, with clear instructions and extra time where you need it, and you’re welcome to bring a support worker or carer. Read more about our NDIS personal training.

Small group sessions

Our small groups stay small, which gives your trainer the chance to give attention to technique. They suit friends or colleagues who want to train together, or anyone who turns up more reliably when others are counting on them.

Before you book

What to Check When Choosing a Personal Trainer in Abbotsford

Whoever you book with, a few quick checks will tell you whether a trainer is qualified, insured and set up to train you where you want to train.

Questions worth asking

  • Do you hold current public liability insurance?
  • Which fitness qualification do you hold, and is it recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework?
  • Is your first aid certificate current?
  • Are you registered with an industry body, or accredited with Exercise & Sports Science Australia?
  • Do you hold a Working With Children Check if you train under-18s?

Screening and safe progression

A good trainer starts with pre-exercise screening such as the PAR-Q+, a standard questionnaire covering your health history, medications and past injuries. If anything on it calls for medical guidance, you should be asked to see your GP first. From there, exercises should be progressed gradually and swapped out if they aren’t right for you.
