Armstrong’s expertise in connecting mind and body has been invaluable. He helped me understand if I was working the right muscle groups and performing exercises correctly. His knowledge extends beyond general fitness to include posture, alignment, and meditation practices.

How sessions work

How We Plan Your Training Program

Every personal training session in Highett runs for 45 minutes. Your program starts with a goal-setting conversation, not a template.

  1. 1

    Chat

Your goal, training history, injuries and the days you can train.

  2. 2

    Track

A short questionnaire, a few days of nutrition tracking and your daily steps.

  3. 3

    Start

You begin your program straight away, before we meet face to face.

  4. 4

    Review

On the 6-Week Lean Body Reset, regular check-ins keep your nutrition targets on track.

Your first week

Before we meet, we send a short questionnaire and a vault of guides to read, and ask you to track your nutrition for a few days. We also ask you to sync a fitness tracker or Apple Health so we can see your steps. None of it needs to be perfect, because tracking is a snapshot, not a lifelong task.

Start before session one

You begin your program straight away, because early momentum matters. By the time we meet face to face, you’ve already started to train and we can adjust from real experience. Your first session is free.

A routine you can keep

Many people spend months getting ready to get ready. The clients who do best are the most consistent, usually over six months or more, so we build a routine around your actual week. Around week three or four, training tends to feel like yours.

Our 6-week program

The 6-Week Lean Body Reset

The 6-Week Lean Body Reset is a $1,399 program built on simple habits.

It includes two training sessions a week with your trainer, the coaching app, nutrition tracking and a set of guides. Your result comes down to how consistently you follow it.

What results can you realistically expect?

Hit 80% of the checklist and you’ll be happy with your result. Fat loss comes from doing the basics week after week, and most people find their energy and training improve too. Tell us your goal early so we can coach you towards it.

What gets in the way?

Work deadlines, school pick-ups and poor sleep are what usually knock people off track. Lock three to four workouts into your calendar before the week starts and they’re much harder to skip.

The weekly checklist

Every client follows the same plan each week:

  • Walk 10,000 steps a day.
  • Log your food in the app, hit your protein target and stay under your calories.
  • Weigh in on Sunday morning and fill in your check-in form.
  • Read all the guides in your first week.
  • Train at least 4 times a week: your 2 sessions with your trainer plus 2 on your own.

  • $400 a month covers one session a week
  • $800 a month covers two sessions a week

Best for fat loss

6-Week Lean Body Reset

$1,399 / 6 weeks

What does the Lean Body Reset cost?

  • The coaching app and nutrition tracking
  • Guides and the weekly checklist

Personal Training Compared With a Membership, Class or Online Program

A gym membership gives you access, but you design your own training. A group class offers energy and company, and an online program gives you flexibility without anyone correcting your form. One-on-one sessions give you a coach who watches your technique and adjusts the plan in real time.

Who suits single sessions?

Single sessions suit people who already eat well, or who want one-on-one technique work around a busy diary. If you want nutrition tracking, guides and weekly check-ins as well, the package is the better fit.

Who suits the 6-week package?

The package suits people who want to lose fat with structure: two sessions a week, a clear program and someone checking in on them. If you only want the odd session, go with single sessions.

How we train

Strength, Weight Loss and Conditioning Programs

Every program starts from your goal, then picks the training that gets you there.

One-on-one strength and resistance training

Strength training helps you build muscle and bone and feel strong in everyday life. We add load gradually so your joints and technique keep pace, and we coach each exercise until it holds up under load.

A nutrition and weight loss program you can stick to

Sustainable weight loss comes from a steady training routine and sensible nutrition, not crash diets. We pair your sessions with simple eating targets, so your body and strength goal fits what you can maintain.

Strength and conditioning for sport

For athletes, we work as your strength and conditioning coach and build the power, speed and fitness your sport needs. With progressive overload, we make small, planned increases in weight or reps, and only when your last session felt controlled.

Strength training

Resistance work, loaded in small steps.

Weight loss

Training plus simple nutrition targets you can keep.

Mobility

Hips, shoulders and upper back that move freely.

HIIT

Short, hard intervals once your base is ready.

Female & NDIS training

Female Personal Training and NDIS-Supported Sessions

Many women prefer a female trainer, and we can match you with one. Female or male, every trainer explains each exercise and never pushes you past what you’re ready for.

Women’s health and strength

Our programs support women at every stage, from building strength and managing weight to looking after your mental health through regular, enjoyable movement. We include postnatal and perimenopause-aware training. If you’re postnatal or managing a health condition, tell us before you start so we can plan around it.

NDIS personal trainers in Highett

We coach National Disability Insurance Scheme participants. Sessions are built around you, with clear instructions from your trainer, and you’re welcome to bring a support worker or carer. Read more about our NDIS personal training.

Small group sessions

Our small and semi-private groups share a trainer’s attention between just a few people, so every workout still includes hands-on technique coaching. They suit friends who want to train together, or anyone who turns up more reliably when others are counting on them.

Before you book

What to Check When Choosing a Personal Trainer in Highett

You’re entitled to ask any trainer about their credentials before you book. A few quick checks will tell you whether a trainer is qualified and insured.

Questions worth asking

  • Do you hold current public liability and professional indemnity insurance?
  • Which fitness qualification do you hold, and was it issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework?
  • Is your CPR certification current?
  • Are you registered with Exercise & Sports Science Australia?
  • Do you hold a Working With Children Check if you train under-18s?

Insurance and when to see your GP

Public liability insurance covers injury or property damage involving a client during training. Professional indemnity insurance covers claims arising from the advice or program a trainer gives. See your GP before starting if you have a heart condition, ongoing pain, or a recent injury or surgery. Once a qualified practitioner has cleared you, we train around their advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a personal trainer cost in Highett?

With us, sessions are $100 for 45 minutes, with no lock-in contract. For a structured start, the 6-Week Lean Body Reset is $1,399 and combines coaching with nutrition targets and check-ins. Compare what each option includes, such as programming, check-ins and how your plan adjusts over time.

What happens before and during my first session?

Your first session is free and runs for 45 minutes. Beforehand we send a questionnaire and a vault of guides, and ask you to track your nutrition for a few days and sync a fitness tracker or Apple Health. You start your program straight away, so by the time we meet we can adjust from real experience.

Where do you train, and do I need a gym membership?

We train at your home (our mobile trainers bring the equipment), outdoors, or in one of the network's gyms, so you can pick whatever suits your routine. You don't need a gym membership. Can I book a female personal trainer in Highett?

Yes. Mention it when you enquire and we'll match you with a female trainer such as Britt or Michaela.

Do you train NDIS participants?

Yes, we coach NDIS participants, and support workers or carers are welcome at sessions. Get in touch with your goals and we'll talk through what suits you.
